AI usage policy and processing notice
This page explains how Kyrou AI (Beta) works and what happens to your data when you use it. It is part of our privacy policy and terms.
What uses AI, and what doesn't
Kyrou AI is available to signed-in users on desktop and Android. It has three features:
- Brain dump. Turns text you type into tasks. The original text is saved in the notes of the first task created.
- Ask. Answers questions about your schedule and can propose actions: create a task, create a routine, reschedule a task or routine, complete a task or delete a task.
- Slot. Finds times in your schedule.
Everything else in kyrou does not use AI. In particular, natural-language quick add (typing something like a task with a time and a repeat) is parsed by rules that run on your device, not by AI.
How it works
Kyrou AI is processed remotely, not on your device. Your request goes to Kyrou's server (a Cloudflare Worker), which sends it to Cloudflare Workers AI, running the Qwen3 30B model (@cf/qwen/qwen3-30b-a3b-fp8). The answer comes back the same way.
What is sent, and what is not
Sent with a request:
- your message, and the recent chat turns in that thread;
- your timezone;
- a window of your tasks: title, date, start time, duration, whether it is done, due date and project name, covering up to 14 days ahead, 60 days overdue and 30 inbox items;
- your routine names and times;
- if you connected Google Classroom, a summary of your open work (course names are included only for school questions);
- statistics computed from your schedule.
Not sent: task notes, your account email and payment information.
Storage and retention
- Kyrou. We do not store your prompts or the AI's outputs on our servers. We keep only a usage counter, which is deleted with your account. Chat threads are kept on your device.
- Cloudflare. Cloudflare states that standard Workers AI inference has zero data retention for inputs and outputs. It keeps operational metadata (model, timestamps, token counts, latency and errors). Cloudflare stores content only if features that store data are used, which we do not use for your requests. Confirmed by code audit on 17 October 2026: the kyrou Worker uses only the Workers AI binding (no AI Gateway), uses no batch or stateful features, and never logs request or response content.
- Location. Workers AI runs on Cloudflare's global network, and we cannot guarantee where a request is processed.
Training
Cloudflare states that it does not use content processed by Workers AI to train its models or share it with other customers. We do not use your data to train AI models, and your Google Classroom data is never used to train AI models.
Your control
- AI runs only when you use an AI feature. Your schedule is not sent otherwise.
- Proposed changes appear as a card, and are applied only when you press Confirm.
- "Auto apply changes" is off by default and is set per device. If you turn it on, non-delete changes are applied immediately; deletions always ask first.
- Every applied set of changes is one undo step.
- If you do not want your data sent for AI processing, do not use the AI features. There's no separate switch: Kyrou AI only sends data when you use it.
Accuracy
AI can be wrong. It can misread what you meant, get dates or times wrong, or propose changes you did not want. Check every proposal before you confirm it, and check the results. It is not professional advice.
Limits
Free plan: 20 requests per week. Mid plan: 15 requests per day. Pro plan: 30 requests per day. Limits may change; the app shows your current usage.
Acceptable use of AI
The rules in Acceptable use apply to the AI features, including not abusing them or getting around limits.
Reporting problems
Use "Report a problem" in the AI panel, or email [email protected].
Changes
If we change the AI features, the model or this page, we update the version and date at the top. This is the first version of this page, so there are no previous versions.
